Be the first to get your 2011 Desert Dash race shirt and take in the amazing views of the Vegas Valley while running our favorite 4.5 mile loop. Treats, prizes and shirts for everyone. Its a good course to walk and hike as well as run! Bring a headlamp, the Full moon is two weeks later, but running at night on New Years Eve is too much fun to pass up!
Starts at 6, so you can still get your party on elsewhere if you like, we will be staying late up on the trailhead watching the Vegas Valley light up!
Make sure to bring your own water bottle (B.Y.O.B.)

News & Updates
The NYE fun run is just about here! Please review this update carefully!
- The event starts and ends at the parking lot approximately 1 mile up the road from the Gazebo. Parking is very, very limited so please make every attempt to carpool. It would be very helpful if the majority of the cars parked at the gazebo lots and participants filled cars heading up the hill with other runners. There will be very few parking spots in the upper lot. Please park single-file on the downhill side of the road, facing the correct direction.
- It looks like its going to be cold. We will have some heat lamps and fireplaces out at the start/finish, along with refreshments and snacks.
-It just wouldn't be a party without Porta Jane and Porta John, so they will be in attendance. They always arrive early, so don't be shy about getting to the event on-time. The run starts at 6PM and we will start it down the road a bit, the location will be marked by a white line. This will allow the field to spread out before you hit the trail.
- Everyone who brings a bag of dog food gets a pair of Desert Dash socks!
- we will have on-site registration, but pre-registereing helps us immensely.
-Finally, we have 4 out of town runners that will need a ride back to the strip after the event. Plesae help us out if you are going that direction after your run.
